BlackBerry Browser and Not Using Default Port 80

BlackBerry Browser and Not Using Default Port 80

Postby Steve.Stockstill on February 18th, 2009, 4:09 pm

Scenario
I can connect to MobileTM using my desktop or a Treo but my BlackBerry won't connect.

Issue
You are most likely not using the default port 80 for your MobileTM configuration. Using anything other than port 80 or port 443 (SSL) appears to be an issue with certain BlackBerry models and/or wireless carriers.

Solution
1) Use the default port 80.
2) Download and install an alternative web browser, like Opera Mini. http://www.opera.com/mini/download/
