Q: What versions of Clarion does EA work with? A: Versions 4 and 5, 6.x (and most likely 7 and even 1.x, 2.x) using either the Clarion (legacy) or ABC template chain. If you are using multiple versions of Clarion you do not need to install EA multiple times. Simply register the deqemba.tpl for each version of Clarion. Q: How can I tell what version EA I am using? A: There are two ways. 1) From the Help About dialog 2) From within Windows Explorer you can right click select the EA executable (deqemba.exe) then select the version tab.
 Q: When the EA template utility runs I do not have a resulting EA file? A: Is the EA path in your environments PATH= statement? This is done during the EA install process but it my have been subsequently removed. You may add it back manually by using the Advanced Tab's Environment button of your "My Computer" settings.
 Q: Where/how is the EA database saved? A: Please refer to: EA file naming conventions. Q: Can I launch the EA database from the command line? A: Yes, as illustrated below, EA will accept the full database path as the first parameter. deqemba.exe c:\dev\project\myproj._ea Q: What files are created by Embed assistant? A: Embed Assistant creates two files named after your dictionary <app>.$ea and <app>._ea. $ea is just a temporary file and may be deleted _ea is the resulting database created by importing the $ea file. This is the Project file used by Dictionary Assistant.
